Programs

Community Mental Health

For Mental Health Day 2023, Vazhai Foundation organized a mental health awareness program for NRT Nursing College, engaging 400 students. The program aimed to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote emotional well-being. Dr. Ruth Sampath, our consultant psychiatrist, played a key role by interacting with the students and sharing insights on mental health care and resilience. This event provided students with valuable knowledge and tools to better understand mental health challenges and how to address them. The celebration emphasized the importance of mental health education, especially within the healthcare sector, to foster empathy and reduce stigma.
